Analytical lab control

Analytical (lab) control in the area of environmental protection is performed for the sake of oversight in the area of environmental protection and the rational use of natural resources.

Analytical (lab) control in the area of environmental protection includes:
- collection of samples and organization of measurements in the area of environmental protection;
- assessment of compliance with environmental quality standards;
- assessment of compliance with standards for permissible emissions and discharges of chemicals and other substances into the environment;
- assessment of the effectiveness of environmental protection measures;
- integrated environmental impact assessment of economic activities and other ones carried out on the basis of integrated environmental protection permits;
- assessment of the conformity of the actual operating parameters of wastewater treatment plants, machines, mechanisms with parameters stipulated by the design documentation;
- assessment of compliance with waste management requirements;
- assessment of compliance with the technical requirements for fuel composition;
- assessment of the effectiveness of production control in the area of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources;
- assessment of compliance with other requirements and standards in the area of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources.


Scope of accreditation of the labs

Labs of the analytical control center match criteria of the system of accreditation of the Republic of Belarus and have been accredited for compliance with the standard STB ISO/IEC 17025.

The scope of accreditation of the labs includes the following test objects:
•         water (wastewater, surface water, subsurface water, drinking water) – 184 indicators;
•         drinking water in containers – 137 indicators;
•         emissions into the atmospheric air from stationary sources – 117 indicators;
•         emissions into the atmospheric air from mobile sources – 3 indicators;
•         land (including soils) - 68 indicators;
•         waste - 68 indicators;
•         fuel - 11 indicators.
